PRN Registered Nurse (Cape May Court House, Wildwood, Marmora, Hammonton)

Position Summary: 

The Registered Nurse (RN) in an Urgent Care setting is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will assess, triage, and manage a wide range of urgent medical conditions, ensuring timely and effective treatment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Implement nursing interventions in collaboration with the interprofessional team, as outlined in the CRUC Nursing Skills Checklist.

·         Perform initial patient assessments by reviewing medical history, conducting physical exams, and documenting vital signs. Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement an appropriate plan of care.

·         Prioritize patient care based on the severity of the condition and urgency, ensuring timely treatment for all patients.

·         Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

·         Assist with minor medical procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, and IV placements.

·         Monitor and manage patients with acute conditions, providing appropriate interventions and updates to the healthcare team.

·         Provide education to patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventative care.

·         Offer guidance on follow-up care, lifestyle modifications, and when to seek further medical attention.

·         Accurately document patient information, assessments, treatments, and responses in the electronic health record (EHR).

·         Ensure all documentation meets legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

·         Respond to medical emergencies, including performing CPR, managing trauma patients, and stabilizing critically ill patients until they can be transferred to an appropriate facility if necessary.

·         Ensure medical supplies and equipment are stocked, maintained, and ready for use.

·         Report any equipment malfunctions or shortages to the appropriate personnel.

·         Other duties as assigned.

·         Consistently wear a professional identification badge marked with Registered Nurse and the approved uniform displaying the CRUC logo for identification.

 

Pay Range:

The compensation range for this position is $42 - $45 per hour Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.

 

Supervisory:

This position does not oversee staff.

Education/Experience

·         Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Program

·         A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.

·         Emergency Room / Critical Care experience is strongly preferred.
