 Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse Reports To: Site Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: The Urgent Care RN works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic and quality patient care. The Urgent Care RN systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute and evaluate the plan of care. The Urgent Care RN considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Executes nursing interventions by collaborating with the interprofessional team as stated in the CRUC Nursing skills Checklist.* 2. Assess and systematically collects any data related to patient health status and history and works in collaboration with the care team to develop the plan of care. * 3. Documents nursing interventions, education and communication with patient to reflect comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care within the Electronic Medical Record. * 4. Provides care that is safe, ethical patient centered, culturally congruent and evidence based. * 5. Perform triage and focused assessment * 6. Review and communicates diagnostic tests. * 7. Initiate and monitor intravenous (IV) infusions * 8. Give injections and/or administering medications * 9. Assist with the management of urgent and emergent patient care situations.* 10. Serves as a mentor and resource to others.* 11. Assist Providers with procedures, as necessary.* 12. Daily cleaning stocking and monitoring of medical supplies and the related inventory.* 13. Educate patients regarding information needed for discharge.* 14. Perform daily quality assurance measures.* 15. Maintain and clean equipment, including autoclaving tools.* 16. Attend staff meetings and review inter-office communication via email, huddle notes, Reference Guide, etc. 17. Participated in continuing education programs to maintain nursing license and certifications. 18. Conspicuously wears an identification tag using the term RN and approved uniform with CRUC logo. 19. Education/Training: Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Program plus Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, Emergency Room / Critical Care experience preferred Certifications/Licenses Valid NJ State Registered Nurse License BLS and ACLS certification required Computer Skills: Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients and affiliate departments. Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
