CAPE REGIONAL URGENT CARE Job Description
Job Title: X-Ray Technologist Reports To: Site Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Summary: Perform Xrays for diagnostic purposes. Follow established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safely while also working as the registrar. Responsibilities 1. Produce high quality digital X-ray films by applying knowledge of X-ray developing techniques and related medical procedures.* 2. Provides care that is safe, ethical, patient centered, culturally congruent and evidence based. * 3. Position patients for X-ray procedures. May require physically assisting patients on X-ray table with co-worker assistance as needed.* 4. Utilize digital X-ray equipment, viewing station and PACS.* 5. Maintain and replenish X-ray / medical supplies and equipment as needed.* 6. Perform X-ray room maintenance after each patient including cleaning and sanitizing equipment.* 7. Provide copies of X-rays with appropriate documentation to patients.* 8. Document Xray interventions, reports, education and communication with patients in electronic medical record.* 9. Arrange ancillary diagnostic tests (CT and US) with Cape Regional Health System as requested.* 10. Performs as Receptionist when not involved in Xray – see job description for Receptionist responsibilities.* 11. Train new employees as requested.* 12. Attend staff meetings and review inter-office communication via email, huddle notes, Reference Guide, etc* 13. Participated in continuing education programs to maintain Xray license and certifications. 14. Conspicuously wears an identification tag using the term Xray Tech and approved uniform with CRUC logo. * 15. Utilize proper phone etiquette as described in CRUC Reference Guide and answer billing questions for patients. * 16. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education/Training Minimum of Certificate Program for X-ray Technologist Certificates / Licenses Licensed X-ray Technologist in New Jersey, CPR certification, ASRT and ARRT registered Experience Prior X-ray experience preferred Computer Skills: Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients and affiliate departments. Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
